Wrong resolution windows 7

On your keyboard, press the windows logo key and R at the same time to invoke the run box. Type "devmgmt. Expand Display adapters and underneath could be your graphics driver. Right-click the driver and select "Update driver" 5. Select the second option, "Browse my computer for driver software".

It says generic PnP as monitors, it's detecting an additional monitor that doesn't exist as well. Third monitor is finding it fine.. Uninstalling and rebooting, does nothing. I have 3 monitors, all with different resolutions and only one proper. I have done no recent updates after I moved my computer, I just did it now to see if it helped and it didnt.

Everything is wacked and I'm annoyed. That is why I am so desperate to know where the monitor settings are stored? If this is a wrong or irrelevant question, please let me know.

If its the latest try reverting to an older one , or try upgrading to the last driver if its the older. Also did you download the drivers from the Acer website to install the monitor manually?

What version of Windows are you using. Try setting the resolution through you nvidia control panel. Also see if the refresh rate is the correct one. What are you using the 4th connection on the card for? You said the DP is the only one free.

I use the latest beta drivers. On Windows 7 nvidia version, updated and all. And yes i tried to install the drivers for the monitor manually but the drivers arent 64 bit version.
